Automate. Descend. Reboot a world.
You awaken to silence and cold in a cryogenic bunk, the hum of civilization replaced by the faint pulse of emergency lighting. A synthesized voice echoes a single, critical mission: the city of Bastion is OFFLINE, and you, a Protocol Executor, have been awakened to restart the planet's core.
Textorio is a 2D factory automation game about descending through a multi-layered, procedural world to build a factory capable of rebooting a planet. Start with nothing but your hands and the wreckage around you. Mine resources, craft machinery, and design intricate, automated production lines to unlock the advanced technology required to drill ever deeper. Manage complex power grids, pump and refine fluids, and defend your creation from the hostile creatures that inhabit the planet's depths.
Your objective is clear, but the path is complex. Can you build the ultimate factory and bring the light back to Bastion?
Key Features
- Explore a Multi-Layered World: Descend from a rich, procedurally generated surface through dark caves and superheated deep caves to finally reach the planet's core. Each layer features unique resources, challenges, and aesthetics.
- Deep Automation & Logistics: Design intricate production lines using belts, inserters, and assemblers to automate crafting and research. Master vertical transport between layers with a fully automated lift system to move resources where they're needed most.
- Manage Complex Systems: Establish robust power grids with a variety of energy sources to fuel your growing factory. Manage a network of pipes and pumps to handle vital fluids like water, crude oil, and volatile chemicals produced in your refineries.
- Extensive Tech Tree: Drive your progress by researching dozens of technologies in your labs. Unlock everything from basic automation and steel processing to geothermal power, quantum engineering, and advanced chemistry.
- Defend Your Factory: You are not alone. Hostile lifeforms will attack your base as your industrial activity grows. Construct walls and automated laser turrets to defend your critical infrastructure from attack.
- Rich Procedural Generation: Every new game creates a unique surface world with distinct biomes, realistic rivers, and intelligent resource placement, offering endless replayability.

I am completely lost. I built the lab, stone furnace and assembly machine you have at the beginning, but no idea how to use them or get electricity. I see there is hand-crafted recipes, I got the material but it's not in the craft options. I explored the map but found nothing. I have no idea how to start :/
Hey buddy, you must build offshore pump, near water, boiler, steam engine and get elecricity..but In the the LATEST update there is WINDMILLS, they are trully amazing!!!!!!
Finally managed to get electricity with this set, thanks. I actually thought that the stone furnace used electricity since it says "90kW" but coal works... Discovered how to research then, but quickly meet first enemy, next barely got time to build two walls that seven came in a row. I discovered that gun uses energy that refill slowly and lost everything... I will gather courage to try again later with focusing on laser turret
I think you should introduce enemy more steadily. Also, it's very annoying to look all the time for the recipe for something. Why not put a pop-up at what is needed when you hover over the button?
Anyone played? :)
